Congressional Pre-K Caucus Statement on Teacher Appreciation Week

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20), Congressman Kevin Yoder (KS-03), Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-05), and Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), co-chairs of the Congressional Pre-K Caucus, made the following statement celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week:

"Teachers shape minds, unlock potential, and change the lives of millions of children across our country every day, and their work reaches far beyond the classroom. This week, we recognize the countless contributions educators make to our children's futures, and show our gratitude for all that they do to guide, motivate, and support students. Teachers are the key to high-quality schools and are vital to furthering the success of our children. As co-chairs of the Congressional Pre-K Caucus, we will continue to support our teachers and advocate for education so we can give every child an opportunity to succeed."
